This Seminar has been attended by hundreds of family mediators over the past eight years.The content of the presentations and the handout materials have changed and improved. Previously attendees of this Seminar will receive a reduction of 30% in the registration fees.


By request of attendees a second, half-day, session has been added on Saturday morning, having the goal of teaching both new and experienced family mediators the tools, tactics, and techniques needed to achieve full resolution of all divorce issues when the parties have no attorney representation. The challenge of this type of mediation is to help parties having limited knowledge of the law to make informed, voluntary decisions that will be acceptable to the Court without giving either party legal advice. Based on thousands of successful such “pro se” family mediations, the instructors will teach you the “nuts and bolts” of how to do this. They have over 60 years combined legal experience and over 25 years of pro se divorce mediation experience. Dan Warner has also taught mediation for ten years at an accredited law school.

9:50 a.m. -10:40 a.m. Drafting the Financial Affidavits (budgeting) and the Marital Settlement Agreement
10:40 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. Break
10:50 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Court documents preparation with forms and checklists.
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch (On your own)
1:00 p.m.- 2:40 p.m. Handling spouses during Pro Se Mediation with Dan Warner, past President, Florida Academy of Professional Mediators
2:40 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Ethics for Pro Se Mediators
3:30 p.m. - 3:40 p.m. Break
3:40 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Marketing. Dan Warner will discuss marketing strategies which have contributed to his successful full time pro se divorce mediation practice.
