About Meredith
Meredith was a divorce attorney in Orlando for over 30 years. He was a Board Certified Marital and Family Lawyer, listed in “the Best Lawyers in America” under Family Law, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Meredith has presented advanced training for family mediators in Pro Se Divorce Mediation (mediation for divorcing couples without attorneys) on 12 occasions in Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa and Ft. Myers.
Meredith has successfully mediated over 2,000 family cases. Meredith is one of only 15 Family Mediators in the State of Florida (and 740 nationally) approved by the ASSOCIATION OF CONFLICT RESOLUTION as a Practitioner Member (the highest level, based on training and experience). Meredith is one of only 65 Florida Supreme Court certified Mediators awarded Diplomate membership status in the 1,000 member Florida Academy of Professional Mediators.
In addtion to his private practice Meredith mediates court ordered divorce mediations in Orange County. He mediates workplace discrimination claims for the United States Postal Service.
Meredith closed his divorce litigation office in 1997, because he believed he could better serve divorcing couples and their children as a mediator - helping to resolve disputes by peaceful discussion rather than by bitter court fights. Since then he has been a full time Mediator and has mediated more than 2,000 cases.
